Independent Travel Agent Agreement

1. Independent Contractor Relationship

All agents operate as independent contractors, not employees. Agents are self-employed and responsible for their own schedules, expenses, licenses, registrations, and taxes.

2. Contract Term

• Initial term of 12 months
• Automatically renews annually unless canceled with 30 days written notice
• Termination may occur for specific events outlined in the full agreement

3. Commission Structure

Base Commission Split: 70% Agent / 30% Host Agency

Tier upgrades apply immediately once earned and reset annually on January 1. Commission overrides and bonuses belong to the Host Agency unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

4. Commission Payments

• Paid monthly for commissions received by the Host Agency
• All bookings must be entered into the company CRM
• Unclaimed commissions over 90 days incur a $10 administrative fee
• Commissions unclaimed after 6 months are forfeited

5. IATA & Supplier Use

Agents may work with other suppliers. If the company IATA number is used, commissions are split according to the agreement.

6. Client Ownership

Agents retain ownership of their clients and may continue servicing them after leaving the agency.

7. Work Flexibility

• No required hours or meetings
• Work from any location
• Agents supply their own marketing materials and tools

8. Membership Fees

Membership is billed at $25 per month as part of a 12-month agreement. All fees are non-refundable.

9. Payments, Late Fees & Access

• 5-day grace period on monthly payments
• $10 late fee after grace period
• Accounts overdue 30+ days may be suspended or terminated
• Reactivation (if approved) requires a $100 non-refundable fee and all past-due balances

10. Taxes & Legal Responsibility

Agents are responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, licenses, and legal compliance. The company does not withhold taxes.

11. Florida Seller of Travel Compliance

You Choose Travels LLC is registered with the Florida Seller of Travel Program. Registration Number: ST44411. Florida-based agents must remain compliant to maintain membership.

• Ongoing support and optional training opportunities

13. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
